A memorial to Thomas a Ksmpis was unveiled at Zwolle recently. It stands on the St Ajmctenbei-g. near Zwolle, whwo the “Imitation of Christ” was written. The monument represents the Gross with the monogram of Christ and the symbols of the four Evangelista, with the inscription ‘‘ In Cruce Salus.” At the foot of the monument is written, “ Here in the service of the Lord Thomas ■% Tvempis lived and wrote the 1 Imitation of Christ.' ’’ The stone is on a hill surrounded by obi oaks and fir trees, with underwoods in tbe back-ground.
