CANTERBURY FORECAST. sresh easterly to _ South-easterly winds, weather cold, with further rain, becoming much heavier. F. L- WOOLES. GOVERNMENT FORECAST. The Government Meteorologist advises as follows: Wind—Freshening easterly, and veering east to south. Weather—Stormy weather may he expected, heavy rain probable, rivers rising. Barometer—Falling, but rising after about twenty-four hours.
