Irvar, Sympathy and Cello Sydney Wilkes showed the way for over a mile, when John Dillon ran to the front, with Irvar, Sympathy, Cello Sydney Wilkes, Mintson and Sherwood in close attendance. Going down fhe back John Dillon had a lead of several lengths from tho next division. Irvar dropped back a little three furlongs from home, where Cello Sydney Wilkes joined Sympathy. On reaching the straight Cello Sydney Wilkes put in a strong challenge, and, going on, he beat John Dillon by two lengths, Sympathy being three lengths further back, with Irvar next. Rex Coronado was showing the way to Gnyuc-mor, Sir Gavin and Great Britain at the end of a furlong A little further on Pleasant Mount moved up and sho was with I ' veat Britain, just behind Guynemcr, as they passed the stand, while Schnapps was at the head of the next bunch. The field closed up going down the back and at the mile post G-uynomor was just in front of a bunch. Starting on the last lap Guynemer w.a sh-.wing the way to Pleasant Mount and . Rex Coronado, but going into the back ' stretch Schnapps was in close attendance f-u Guynemor and Pleasant Mount. Three furlongs from home Schnapps went after Guynemcr and tho pair cleared right away. Schnapps had Guynomcr's measure in the straight and he won by six lengths.
