I;,, P. ea Y n s at Lismorc Mr Holman oute lined the Government’s policy, which includes the introduction of the Wh.itoy Councils system. The principle of co-partnership in -large concerns is to be established In regard to the liquor question the Government will take a referendum on the question of prohibition with compensation, the result to bo determined by a bare majority. A commission will previously determine the amount of compensation. Six o clock closing will continue in the meantime. Unemployment insurance Will be available to every workman, and preference will bo given in all employment to returned soldiers. The Government is determined to stop profiteering and will not allow the growth Pf monopolies 111 any direction. Mr Holman stated that it would bo the definite policy of the Government te give preference to locally-made articles. Ho also announced a health policy, which includes the establishment of maternity hospitals and rest houses. He concluded by outlining afforestation, decentralisation and hydro-elec-tric schemes.
