The windows show you the prices of scores of things without your going in. i A petition by the trustees of the late Colonel Hope of Luffness to remove Mrs Hope from the guardianship of her two children came before Lord Mackenzie in the Court of Justiciary, Edinburgh, in May, for the hearing of evidence. The proceedings were expected to last ten days, but after a two and a half hours’ conference between counsel a settlement was arrived at and a joint minute was signed. By the terms arranged, Mrs Hope voluntarily gave up the guardianship of the two children, to whom she was to he allowed access, and received £3OO towards her legal expenses.
