Milieu has received a letter from the president of the Seamen’s Federation stating that a settlement can he arranged if the four cardinal points of the chums tire conceded. • Wafish is released and n conference summoned immediately to consider the other claims. The letter concluded dint any alternative Government proposals would be. considered. Mr Milieu replied that as it was clear the seamen had rejected the terms approved by tnc interstate conference the Government would not submit any alternative proposals.
