WELCOME BY FRIENDS. [Pep. Press Association;] AUCKLAND, August 5. Both Mr Massey and Sir Joseph. Ward are in the best of health and spirits. The ladies of the party also are looking extremely well after a most interesting trip. When the steamer was alongside the a large party of personal and political friends of the two leaders, who were waiting to welcome them, were kept busily occupied for some time exchanging hand-grips and greetings. The Deputy-Mayor extended a hearty welcome home to the envoys and their party on behalf of the citizens of Auckland.
