RETURNING TROOPS.

Mr and Mrs J. Mather, of 35, Tice- # hurst Road, Lyttelton, have been advised that their son. Gunner J. K. Mather, is expected on August 12 by the troopship Somerset. Gunner Mather has been on active service for three yeans in France. Advice has been received by Mrs PTaylor, Cooper’s Creek, that Private E. D. Drewster is returning by the Port Hacking. Word has been received by Mr and Mrs A. Townshend, of 47. Princes Street, Woolston, that their son, Charles, who left with the Ninth Reinforcement, and has seen considerable service in Egypt and in France, is returning by the Port Hacking.

Mr and Mrs Smith, of 33, Fleming Street, Belfast, late of Pleasant Valley, Geraldine, have received advice that their son, Trooper J. W. E- Smith, is returning by the U.limaroa from Palestine. Mr H. G- Goodman, of the Lincoln Hotel, has received advice that his son, Wilfred, is returning by the Port Hacking. Private Goodman volunteered when he was nineteen years of age, and left with the Thirty-eighth Reinforcement, machine-gun section.

Mrs M. Hooper, 108, Durham Street, has received advice that her son, Rifleman J. E. Hooper, is returning on the Port Hacking. Mr and Mrs H. E. Blundell, 8, Kenilworth Street, Addington, have received advice that their son, Private D. P. Blundell, is returning by the Port Hacking. Mrs Bennington, 630, Hereford Street, has been advised that her husband, A. S. North, is returning on the Port Hacking. News has been received by Mrs Jane Elvy, 78, Byron Street, Sydenham, that her third son. Private G. S. Elvy, is returning by the Port Hacking. • Mrs A. Beker, of Cooper's Creek, has been advised that her husband, Rifleman F. W. Bekor, is arriving by the Somerset. Mrs C. Little, Churoh Street, Rangjora, has been officiallv informed that her sons. Privates E. E. J. Little and D. L. Little, are returning by the transport Port Haoking and Somerset respectively. Mrs R. C. Joughin, of Linwood, has received advice that her youngest son, Harold, is returning to New Zealand by the Port Hacking. Mr John Peach, of Port Levy, has been advised that his second son, Trooper Ernest J. Peach, is returning by the Port Hacking.

Mrs Meynell, of 18, Thornton Street, St Albans, has received advice that her son. Private J. Z. Meynell, is returning on the Somerset.

Mr J. Sutton, 39, Devon Street, Sydenham, has received advice that his son, Rifleman W. L. Sutton, who loft with the Sixteenth Reinforcements, is returning on the Somerset. Word has been received by Mr R. W, Forsey, 69, Fairfield Avenue, that his son, Corporal L. J. A. Forsey, is returning by the_ Port Hacking. He was on Little River section of the railways before leaving with the 40th Reinforcement.

Mrs Newlore, 41. Slater Street, St Albans ; has received advice that her son, Rifleman R. Newlore, ia returning in the Port Hacking. Rifleman Newlove left New Zealand with the 40th Reinforcement. >s

Mrs H. A. Narhy, of Nayland Street, Sumner, received word yesterday that her husband, Private A. A. Narhy, is returning by the Somerset. _ Private Narhy left with the Thirty-third Reinforcement and has seen service in France and Germany. Mr W. Morrison, Blenheim, has been advised that his son, Lieutenant R. J. Morrison, is returning by draft 271, due to_ arrive at Auckland on j August 6. Lieutenant Morrison left as a trooper in the Main Body of the Canterbury Mounteds, earning his commission in the field- Trooper F, J. Morrison also left with the Main Body, making the supreme sacrifice on Gallipoli twelve months later. Private W. Morrison sailed with the Thirty-fourth Reinforcement, and is still in London working in the "War Records Department. Mrs O’Sullivan, of Warrington Street, St Albans, is a sister of these soldiers.

IMPERIAL! DETAILS. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 30. A number of Imperial details reached Auckland by the steamer Mahia, from Sydney, to-day, and will disembark tomorrow, if the Mahia is declared a clean ship. They comprise twenty-seven officers and two nurses.
