SOLDIERS AND POLITICS.
PLATFORM ADOPTED IN AUCKLAND. • [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 30. A general meeting of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association, attended by 500 members, decided practically unanimously to endorse the new political platform embodying party action, recently framed by the provincial committee. A resolution was passed in favour of th© New Zealand constitution being amended to permit of- political action, and asking that a special New Zealand conference be called to consider the platform as endorsed by the meetin 2- ■
