A matter brought under the notice of the Minister oi Public Works by Mr G- W. Forbes, M:P., while- in Wellington, was the need for an improvement to the Gouway Cutting jn the Whale s Back Hoad, This is a very dangerous cutting leading down to the Conway River, and motorists have complained a good deal about the risk they have encountered on this steep piece of rqad.
