[Pee Pkess Association.] BLENHEIM, July 8 Tiie first meeting of the South Islam! Main. Trunk Railway League, com-* prising a convention of all local bodies m Marlborough, considered the best means ■ of furthering and pushing forward the South Island Main- Trunk line. A delegation ffom the Chamber of Commerce attended. After, full discussion, it was decided to adjourn the meeting pending a conference between the presidents of the League and the Picton and Marlborough Chambers of Commerce, to formulate and bring down a set of proposals for a combination of forces to push the matter on.
