AN INDECENT PICTURE.
[Pra Pans* Assocuno*.] AUCKLAND, July. 8. At the Police Court, Robert Cleland, manager of the National Picture The,was charged with having publicly exhibited an indecent picture. A photogravure was exhibited as a poster in the vestibule of the theatre, advertises the picture .'“ Queen of the Sea.” The accused was lined £2. Air Wilson, S.M., said that one of the figures gave the impression of be.a nude woman. In Ills opinion its exhibition in the circumstances had a . mischievous tendency, and made the picture an indecent one.
