GENERAL ELECTION.

ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.

REGISTRARS ACTIVE. Although the date of the next general election has not been fixed it is generally believed that it will be at some tini towards the end of the year. In. the case of Christchurch North, the Registrar (Mr F. Evans) is about to have the main roll printed. Curiously enough, _ the representation commissioners in readjusting the boundaries of Christchurch North and Christchurch South, cut out of North the principal polling place, the Provincial Council Chambers, and as every polling place must be in -the- electorate, this much desired booth will go over to Christchurch South and the northern registrar will have to get either the Art Gallery or the Salvation Army Citadel. The alteration of boundaries has transferred from Christchurch North to Christchurch Squill, the block from Colombo Street to Rtolleston Avenue on tile north hy the south shle of Armagh Street, and including the whole of Christ’s College. This’means that tlio south side of" Armagh Street and the whole ’of Gloucester and Worcester Streets between Rolleston Avenue and Colombo Street will be in Christchurch South. Those electors affected by the alteration have already been advised that they are now electors of Christchurch South ; but any persons who have moved from the area concerned are advised to let the Registrar of-Christchurch South know their present address.
