EXPORT OF POTATOES.

PERMITTED UNTIL JUNE 30. Mr David Jones has received the following telegram from the Hon W. D. S. Mac Donald, Minister of Agriculture; “Re potatoes, the Government has decided that permits for export for shipment up to June 30 will be granted by -Minister of Customs.” The Board of Trade advises as follows : —" You will receive official information from tbe Minister that export of potatoes is being allowed for limited period.” Mr Jones states that this permits a period of grace for the clearance of some of the crop, which union investigators had proved to he a pood one.
