In the second half a forward rush ended in Singe scoring a try, which was not converted. A little later Ford scored, but the kick again failed. Engjand rallied twice, but the New Zealanders averted a score. Prince Albert, Mr Massey, Sir Joseph Ward and thousands of New Zealand soldiers were present. There was the greatest enthusiasm at the result.
(The final of the international Rugby tournament was played at Twickenham between New Zealand and England. New Zealand won by 9 points to 3.)
