OPERA HOUSE.

At pie Opera House this week there is a distinct innovation during tho first portion of tho programme, when, wader tlio giiiso ol “ .bun, in a Cabarat,” mony of tho best features of the ohcUblmo nigger minstrel show have been revived. Those have been merged with tho revuo ddoa, and the result is a novelty which, has proved extremely successful. 'Dio cast to a strong one, and includes such, vaudeville favourites ns GtCcu H.osto, soubrotte; Marjorie Alwyne, contralto; _ Gale and Sadie, Winnie Luniloy, Lily Vockler, Warwick Lumley, Ohorlio Delavale, Word Lear and Vv alter Emerson—the four last-named being cornor-mon. The interlocutor i« Ernie DclavaJo, In addition to this attraction, that favourite comedian, Leonard Nelson, appears in a budget of new songs, as well as some of tho old popular numbers. Mr G-, prince of storytellers, with Main! Uourtonay, pays a return and welcome visit; Nellie Kollo, the male impersonator and singing comedienne, as well as Boy Bonham, contortionist, reappear, whilst a. strong attraction is the performance of Romaine, a tramp violinist. Tho personnel of tho orchestra has been changed, Mr A. Bidgood, recently in camp, reassuming control. In addition the popular trap-drummer and effects musician, Clarence Crawford, who has also doffed khaki, has taken his old place.
GRAND THEATRE.
A Largo number of patrons attended botli sessions at the Grand Theatre yesterday, and tho current programme, headed by the Metro drama, Hie Trail to Yesterday,” was well roceiY°d' The supporting programme, which was lengthy and well varied, included tho twelfth episode of tho serial, “Tho Great Secret,” two comedies, Die Goat” and “Their Anniversaries,” and a scenic picture, “ Volcanoos of Java.” Tho same pictures will bo screened at the sessions to-day.
CRYSTAL PALACE.
A. super-double programme, one of ilie most attractive that have been, teen hero, is being shown at the Crystal Palace at all sessions' this week. Sonia Markova is appearing in “ The Painted Madonna,” and the other star ' attraction Is a “Branded Soul” with Gladys Brockwell in tho stellar vole. Both these Fox productions aro well up to the quality expected l from this great) producer. An, American Gazette and a, ounshinc comedy are on tho supporting
