HELPING HER NEIGHBOURS

There are so many people rendering unselfish and noble service at present that it is hardly fair to discriminate (says the “Taranaki News”), yet the services of one woman in a coastal district should bo placed on record, for she threw herself heartily into the work of helping afllicted neighbours and making arrangements for a temporary hospitil to accommodate the cases. She had her cows to milk night and morning, bub they did' not deter her I'pom going to her neighbours, cleaning up their places, feeding the stock, and attending to the sick. One day last week she had just finished her ministrations when the clock indicated S a.m. Her cows wore hollowing, and she turned to and milked them. Then a,way she wont again to her neighbours to give them help. And this went on for days. At Inst she got a little sleep, and is mow working away ns hard as ever, thinking no effort too great, so long as she can belli her fellows.
