J ,, Port ChalmerV fend' Lyttelton, is expected to b* ready to ; start loading, at Wellington for the-eoiith on. Wednesday. The' vessel will 1 subsequently - - proceed froin Dunlin up to the-Thames to Toad Dleael mschiuory reosatly .bought 'from* the Thames Borough Council by; Miller, Bros, lor installing, .in the ’dredfee Progress. The latter vessel has had : her dredging machinery removed, and is being converted into a cargo carrier for the coastal trade. The Maimroa will deliver the Diesel plant at Port Chalmers and afterwards go round to .the W«t Coast Sounds to salvage the, wrecked Waikare. It is proposed, as the Manaroa has accommodation for- about twenty passengers, to take a small number of excursionists round to the Sounds on the salvaging trip. Pishing and trips ashore would occupy the excursionists.
