CANTERBURY FLYING CLUB,

The annual meeting o£ the Canterbury Plying Club was held in ■ the club rooms, Manchester Street, on August 31, Mr F. 1), Milson, president of the club, presiding. The balance-sheet showed the club to bo in a very prosperous condition, and tho trophy fund had increased beyond expectations. The report made, reference to the good work done by members’ birds in the long hard races flown during the season, Messrs P. Kingsford, C. Wood house, D. Dora, J. W. Blanchi KibWewhito, J- Hialop, F. D. Wilson and B, Ashworth coming iii for special mention for their good work. The .report issued by the Dotcnce. Department highly praised the birds sent by the Canterbury Flying Club to tho war, and stated that the Canterbury birds stood out ahead of those sent from other provinces.
