XGTON, August 23, Hin decision of the Government on tho ooal n ''nes trouble is that if the coni owners do not agree to moot dedepates of tho Miners’ Federation in conference a Royal Commission is to be set np to investigate all items in the Cota! cost of coal to tho consumer, including the, hewing rates paid to the minnis. One of the conditions to he insisted on is that the men must go back to work at once
Messrs Semple. O’Rourke and Parry have agreed to this condition, and left for the Coast after telegraphing a reonest to tho strikers to go back to work.
The mine owners will meet on AW.dnesday to consider the suggestions of the Government.
The proposed constitution of tho Commission is Two representatives of tiio minors mid two of the owners are to bo chosen hy the two bodies inter* osted, ami these four members are to elect a tilth to sit as chairman. it is expected that the miners on sti ii\6 taill ictnrn to work next work
