SHIPPING PROBLEMS.

Loral Pirrie, in an interview, said that 2-10 separate shipbuilding and repairing , marine engineering establishments are under ids Department. The better synchronising of hulls and machinery resulted in a marked acceleration of output. Now there was very rarely delay awaiting machinery for standard ships, because it is interchangeable. Any immediate material increase in the present rate of output can hardly he. expected until additional skilled 'men are obtained. Fifty-sis small concrete ships are under construction.
