FIRES.
SAWMILL DESTROYED.
[Per Press Association.] TAIHAPE, April 6. Messrs Dennett, and Punch’s sawmill at Rangataua, tho second largest mill in the district, was totally dost roved by lire early this morning. The origin of tbp fire is a mystery. Tho manager saw that all was safe at midnight. The stock of limber was not injured, and twenty-six men have been thrown out of employment.
