KILLALEA CASE.
WALDIE FOUND GUILTY. [Per Press Association.] WANGANUI, Feb miry 16. At the Supremo Court, Douglas Campbell "Waklio, found guilty of giving assistance to the reservist Michael Killalea, to enable him to escape service, was sentenced to eighteen months’ imprisonment. Justice Hosking said he agreed with the jury’s verdict. It was n grave matter m these times, but he would not inflict the full penalty of three years in view of the jury's recomemndation to mercy and the accused’s previous good character.
