PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY'S ATTITUDE.

DUNEDIN, November 27

The Presbyterian Assembly to-day received Lh*.- report of the committee appointed to consider the question of the "Outlook" and the war. The committee unanimously resolved to tender the Kino; an expression of proi'mmd loyalty to his person and throne and Km pi re. deploring and condemning war in itself, and believing that the only hope of its final elimination is through the diffusion of the spirit of Christ ai:d the recognition of His authority over the nations. Tho Assembly is nevertheless aware thai tin's war must be waged with inflexible determination, that there can bo no real or stable peace unless the military power of the Central Empires is shattered, and that the Germanic pooplo themselves realise that their aggression and terrorism have brought them nothing but disaster and the moral condemnation of the whole intelligent world.

The Assembly unanimously adopted this resolution.
