At a lato hour last, night, there ynrt brought, to tho Christohureh Ilospit.il Alor££ue> tho body of a_ Belfast' octo"onarian, named Francis Riloy, wh« hnd met his death under tragic cumstawes. A wording to tho report of thif Jxmfa.st constable, Riley, who hnd passed' his eightieth year, was apparently in his usual health at half-past threo o'clock yesterday afternoon, when ho av;is wii hv his son, R.iehard Riley, sitting outsi'de his cottage. At a,bout five o'clock h 0 sent his nine-year-old boy down to tho grandfather's whare, wliicli was about a chain from house. The boy canio back almost immediately, and from what ho said the! father hurried down to the wharo, Avhere Ti e found the old maji on tiha bed in a kneeding posture, paxtly suspended by a rop<- which had been tied to the foot of tho bed and l<?d over a nail in the wall. The rope was immediately severed, but the old man was dead.
