' The Press Bureau states: —Pilots' r&ports show that yesterday's raiders were making for London, but turned abruptly on sighting a large nurnboi of our aeroplanes and unloaded the remainder of their bombs in the sea. Our anti-aircraft guns greatly assisted in repelling the raid.
BERLIN'S VERSION OF RAID. LONDON August IS. A wireless German official message says:—Cm aviatcrs attacking England bombed with good results military works at Southend and Margate. A wireless German omci.il message says:—Our adversaries lost in July thirty-four and 213 aeroplanes. We lost sixty aeroplanes.
