The " Hokitika. Guardian " complains that tho nsmo of tlio West Coast doea not appear in the annual report of th© Tourist Department on the Dominion's tourist find holiday resorts. "Other parts of the Dominion are being spoonfed to a considerable degree," the journal says. "Westland is described by world-wide travellers as possessing the finest mountain and bush scenery in the world. It possesses ensily accessible glaciers, and has many natural points of Interest', including hot springs and other novel attractions, which, if developed, would make the district one of the most notable plnces in the southern hemisphere. Why the Government continues to ignore such a splendid asset for tourist traffic I remains unexplained" I , '■.'■-.' :'■'■.' : ■■.
