GRAND NATIONAL HANDICAP. A flvo pigeon Gr*nd National Handicap, open, of £25, at ten pigeons, was hold at the Chriatchurch Gun Club's ground, Matson's Road, Pap.tnui, on Monday. Tho weather wai very wild nt t!.o conimonromont of tho shooting, but it gradually improved, a.nd was almost perfect, before firing ceased. There wero twenty-four competitors, and a largo number of spectators was present. The results are as follow: Chisnal! (22vds), ten birds; Alexander (23wls), Winger (Wyds) and J. Tate (22yds), each nine birds; Vale (22yds) Irwin (22yds), Hammond (23yds), Dennehy (23yds), A. B. L Smith (22yds) and W. Peek (23yds} esob eight birds; Burgess (2.2 yds), F. Truaoott (34yds), Skilling (23yds), SliMid (24yds), Graham (25vds), Wieoler (23yds), Watson (25yds') arid Gre,_>r (22yds), each noven birds; Avros '24 yds), Moir (2-lyds) and N«wto (21yds) each eix birds; .T. Smith (21yds), five birds. Reed (23yds) and G. E. Tate (22yds) TBtirodL Ohianall won first Toonoy, ajid Alexander, Winger and .T. • Tate divided second and third money. In a handicap Bwoepstake, first miss out. twenty competed. Watson, A. Smith and Turner each rihot nine pigeons, and divided the money.
