HUNGER AND DISEASE IN GERMANY. " The Times " Service*. (Received August 15, 10 a.m.) BERNE. August 14. Hunger and typhus Hire scourging many parts of Germany. There wero six hundred cases and fifty-four deaths at Mannheim. Disease is severely afflicting Cologne, Karlsruhe and Mulhausen. The authorities diagnose it as dysentery, and are ordering night burials in order to quell panic.
