POSITION OF ADOPTED CHILD. The Christchurch Citizens' Defence Corps recently wrote • to", the Commissioner of Pensions inquiring as to the position of a child in respect of whom a pension bas been granted, and who has been legally adopted by another party. . The Commissioner has replied as follows :_.'< I have now to inform you thait the question has been submitted to the War Pensions Board, which has ruled that the pension will continue under any circumstances until such time as the child has reached the statutory age, namely, sixteen years.
