DUNEDIN, August 13
ThfrOtago Recruiting Committee, the, High-School Old Boys' Association, tho Ofcago branch of the Women's National Reserve, tho Otago Engineers' Unions and the Otago branch of flio Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, have all passed resolutions emphatically protesting against tho lowering of tho enlistment ago below twenty.
In the- course of his sermon last evening at tho Rugby Street Methodist Church, the Rev A. C. La wry strongly deprecated the proposal that youths of eighteen or nineteen should bo called •up for active service, and sincerely trusted-that-no member of the Second Division would shelter, himsolf behind *uch an unreasonable project.
