The track alt Addington was in capital order this morning, and a lot of horses were exercised and worked there, but very few wero sent at top spefed. Judged by the amount of fast work done at Addington during tho past fortL night, it would seem that trainers are quite' satisfied with the condition of their horses and that the previous weH weather had not in any way interfered with training operations. There was a large crowd of spectators, but many left early, when they discovered that there was not much of a fast nattuid being done. Michael Galindo continues to improve in his work, and he reeled 'ofß a little over a mile and a half in fine style, working by himself and trotting really well. A." Pringle drove The Watchman about a mile and n- half, but the South Canterbury horse is not looking at his best and performed badly in the early stages of his work out. He was pa« ing well; however, at the finish. H. Barraclough rode Kirikiriroa, but the Auckland-owned trotter went very badly. It is certain that he far from his hest and he cannot he expected to race prominently next) week. A. Hendricksen worked Frank Tracoy a little over a mile in harness, without the straps. The big pacer has built up a lot since he last raced and is now carrying plently of condition. Ho paoed alttractively. Maud Tracey was sprinted over several furlongs, and later went nearly

«, mile, but her work out was noti impressive. The trotter I>nbosc, who is fast getting into racing trim, went several circuits in saddle at about three-quar-ter pace shrdlu etaoin cmfwyp shrdlu t-er speed and made no mistakes. A. Cox sent the trotter Marvolo a little over a mile, and the work out, was a satisfactory one. This maro is on the improve and promises t0 take a high position amongst the free-legged division. The trotter Armamcntcr, in saddle, was .sprinted over several quarters and did not make any mistakes. It is a great pity this horse is not reliable in races. Erin's King, who looks very fit. was jogged along several circuits and then indulged in a few sprints over about, a quarter of a mile. A. Fleming had the trotter Hardy Wilkes on the track, but lie was not extended, being restricted to jogging work. The horso looks bright and well. .Moneymaker and Lady Jlothsoon went nearly two mijes, the early stages of which wore not last, but they sprinted the Inst quarter and both finished well. Both horses look in fine racing condition. The Southland-owned trotter, Annie K., did not settle to her work at all and could not be induced to trot much further than a furlong at a time without leaving her feet. She is such a bad breaker that unless she keeps to her feet she cannot hav© any chance in a race. Erleen and Albert Wallace, both in harness, went a mile and a. half at top speed, except over the last hundred yards. Both horses paced pleasingly. Dillon ]Vfaid 3 driven, by A. Hendrick&on, went nearly two milps at top speed. The southern owned pacer is very well and got through her task satisfactorily. The trotter Oration Chimes, with D. Nyhan in the saddle, worked out a mile and a quarter, trotting without any mistake. If this mare were a solid stayer she would win good races. .)ewel Chimes went a fast fnile in harness, pacing in improved form. The little stallion looks bright and well and is pacing in his most, resolute style. Pile trotters Paul Huon, driven by his owner, and Galician, with A. Heridnclcsen in the sulky, set off together and were soon joined by Afjintson harness). AH three horses worked really well in a serviceable work out. George Hard went a great deal better he did on his previous work out, pacing solidly for a little over a milo and getting through his work in a pleasing manner.
