Thomas A spell was charged tlint, being tho licensee of the Methvcn Hotel he did ponnit "shouting' 011 his promises. .James Scott' was charged wiith "shouting'' for two others. Thomas Boid and John Boucher wore each charged with consuming liquor paid for by another person. All the informations wore laid under the War Regulations. Suli-fnspookor Mnll.my. ot Christchurch. prosecuted for the police, and Mr Dart appeared for the defendants. At'tor evidence was heard A.spell was fincfl £■"> and costs, and Scott, Boucher were each fined 'los and costs.
