Bayne, of Greymouth, i?. a visitor to Christehurch. staying at the Clarendon Hotel. Mr W. C. Sellwnli. of Niagara Falls, is staying at Coker's Hotel. Mr S. F. Whitcombe. District Traffic Manager in the Orago railways, is on a visit' in Christehureh. Mr John Roberts, C.M.G.. passed through Christehureh to-day 011 his wav from Wellington to Dunedin. Tho Hon J. Barr, Hon R. Moore and Hon J. M'Grogor arrived from the north this morning. Amongst, those who arrived by the ferry steamer this morning wore: -Mr H. W. Relph, .Mi- J. S. (inthrio, Mr 0. .T. S'ouuii, Mr L. Watson. Mr W. G. Stead, Mr A. Anderson .and Mr G. Mnrtiningo. The Mayor has received a cable message stating that the name of his son. Lieutenant, S. G. Holland, who is in the Walton-on-Thamos Hospital has been lemoved from the list of "seriously ill,'' and that the soldier will return to New Zealand almost immediately.
Mr T?. Lloyd, of 131. Peterborough Street, has received advice that his second son. Serjeant-p. .1. Moyd, who was p-centlv awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal in France, has been accidentally wounded in the fa''o and hand. A younger brother is at- present recovering from -wounds received in France.
