Bucldo asked tho Minister of Agriculture to-day whether, in view of the negotiations ivith wheat farmers for the purchase of next season's crop, he would at the earliest moment gazette the price to be paid and the quantity to bo purchased. The member 'pointed out that Canterbury Sarraers had expressed willingness to accept- os 10d, f.0.b., for their crops, lut it was not clear whether the Government intended to purchase the Jfchole of the New Zealand wheat crop Dr stop at the 6,500,000 bushels considered necessary for the country's needs. t-.The Hon TV.
