MORE BURGLARIES.

MONEY STOLEN IN SUBURBS.

Taking advantage of the wet night on Sunday, which practically cleared tho streets of pedestrians, burglars made a raid on two shops in Linwood, and stole small sums of money, not more than £lO or £l2. A start was evidently made on the grocery store of the Misses Rluut, at tho corner of Cashel and Suffolk Streets. The occupants were away from the dwelling, which is attached to tins house, and the burglars, who had evidently been on the watch, entered by a back window. They secured about Li2 in money and sonic stamps, but overlooked a sum of about £3O. The grocery store and dwelling of Mr L. A. Boeworth. at the corner of Cashel Street and Ollivier's Road, was next entered by a side window, and the. place ransacked in a very long but unprofitable search for money. The burglars tried to open the till, but failed, and decamped with only a child's moneybox, not raring to take either stamps or jewellery. The outbreak follows on others that were made in the city, but were not detected. They all appear to have been tho net of amateurs, but as nothing but money was taken, the police are handicapped in the search for clues.
