The John Anderson will take up the Akaroa running in the meanwhile. The Westport Coal Company's steamer, Canopus, left Westport yesterday morning at 11.30 a.m. for Lyttelton. She should therefore reach port about midnight. The Wootton is expected in port on Wednesday from Titirangi, where she is loading cattle for Pigeon Bay. She will Bail again on Thursday for Wellington. SHIPPING SALES. American advices announce the following shipping sales:— i ouf-maatod schooner Ludlow. 013 tons register, built at Port Blakely, "Washington, in 1900, has been sold by the Pacific Freighters Co., Mobile, to E. L. Whitney, Mobile, lor 85,000 dollars. Schooner Zampa, 322 tons register, built at Port Madison, Washington, in 1?87, carries about 500 M. feet lumber, has been sold to John Rothschild and Co., San "Francisco, for 25,000 dollars. Her late owners were J. R. Hanify and Co., San Francisco. Schooner Ariel, 68-1 tons register, built at Bani'ciu. m 1910, carries about 1000 M. feet ; lumber, lately owned by Hind, Rolph and &an FVancisco, has been sold to J. M. Scott, Mobile, for 63,000 dollars
