Allender. a wellknown land agent, had been arrested lor failing to account for money received by him. He was arrested by Detective-Ser-geant T. Gibson. The charge was that be did receive, on February 0, JOl7, from Frank Cotter, the sum of £."> His Hd, on terms requiring him to account for the same to Thomas Leslie Flans, mid did fraudulently omit to do so. A|lender was brought before Air T. A. B. Mailov, 5..M., later in the day.
Mr ( ,'unningham appeared for the accused.
On the application of the police, a remand was granted until July 27. bail being allowed in one surety in self of £IOO and another surety of £IOO.
