ENEMY ATTACKS. SLIGHT SUCCESS GAINED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association and Reuter. LONDON, July 16. A wireless Russian official message, says:—Between July 1 and 13 we captured 831 officer?. 30,800 men, 93 guns, •103 machine guns, '2B trench mortars, many mines, bomb and fire-throwers and much material. North-east of Kalusz we repulsed a German attack on the Lomnitza. We drove the Austrians out of the village of Loziany. The arrival of enemy reserves and our great losses in officers compelled us to retire slightly to the eastern end of Loziany. RUSSIAN MUNITIONS. BETTER GENS AND GRENADES. Australian and M.Z. Cable Association. ROME, July 16. Hungarian papers state that the new Russian artillery in Galicia is more powerful than before, and also that the Russians are using a new type of Japanese or American hand grenade, thirty limes more powerful than the ordinary types. •■■'■■■ FROM THE ENEMY SIDE. LONDON. July 16. A wireless German official message says:—There was lively fighting on the Riga from south of Dvinsk. The Bulgarians repulsed a Russian surprise attack in the Danube delta.
