50,000 MILES OF FILMS.
Tf the motion picture film produced annually in the United States amounts to more thnn 1.000,000,000 feet, as has been estimated (says nn Auckland paper), ono may, from this statement, gather some conception of the extent to which this industry has grown. And yet pepole say that it is only in its infancy. This being cpufe probably the case, it is interesting to speculate as to what tho business will be a few years hence. • United States Customhouse statistics show that 50,000 miles of films were exported and imported hist year, or enough to reach twice around the earth.
