TO-DAY'S CASES. (Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. A first offender for drunkenness was convicted and discharged. Florence Elsie Neville, charged with drunkennesss, was committed to Pai\atoa' Inebriates' Home, for twelve months. ~ , Joseph Brownlev, lor his lourtn offence for drunkenness, was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment. Christopher Inkster, charged with drunkenness and breach of a prohibition order, was remanded for a wcck. REMANDED. Edward Johnston was charged with failing to provide for his wife. Mr Cassidy said that Johnston was aged seventy, and had been paying I.os a week' to his wife for sixteen years. His wife had applied for a pension, and the Department had stated that the husband should provide a<h epiate maintenance.
