The High Commissioner reports: — LONDON, September 15, 2 p.m. A British official message says:— Last night we captured the enemy's trenches south-east of Thiepval on a front of about 1000 yds. This moririig we attacked the enemy on a front of about six miles, extending north of Albert and Bapattme road. Considerable success was obtained. We advanced 2000vds to 3000 yds at various places. The attack is progressing satisfactorily. Largo numbers of prisoners have been taken. Four hostile air machines were brought down in flames, a'nd four were damaged. Our airmen bombed successfully three enemy headquarters. The. railway at Bapaume and muci' railway stock were damaged. One train was destroyed.
