The internal organs wore healthy, and there were no marks ot violence. The indications were that the man was. from fifty to .v.xty years ov ace, poor hut not indigent. Death would have occurred niw.t three months ago. , , , Joseph Chancy deposed tnat' last Thursday he found the body in Chancy'* Creek, which was a deep spring hole, near the Waimr.kariri. Constable Smither ?-iid that he removed the body to the morgue. ( He searched the pockets, and found nothing 10 lead to identification. There was a brown tweed' cap in the inside pocket of the coat. Inoniry bad failed to establish the identity. Constable Miller also gave evidence that inquiries in the district had failed to establish the identity of the body.
