NAVY LEAGUE CONCERT.

At the Colosseum on Saturday evening next the Navy League will commemorate the departure of the British Grand Fleet from its bases on August 3, 1914, by a concert, which will be in aid of the fund for the dependents of sailors who lose their lives during the war. Tho local branch of the League has gono to a lot of trouble to make the concert a < success, and the programme will include patriotic and sea songs by leading local artists. Among the contributors will _ be Madame Gower Burns, who will sing a new song by Drummond, entitled " Homeland," Mrs R. A. Horne, Mrs F. C. Cother and Millicent Jennings, Mr A. L. Cropp, Mr Rex Harrison, Mr W. J. Trewern, Ms T. Charters and Mr E. Norden, who will play a solo on tubular bells. The Savage Club orchestra, under the baton of Mr A. L. Sutton, will accompany the singers, and a new song by Mr R. A. Horne, entitled "By England's Side," will be sung. Such numbers as " The Marseillaise," "Sons of tho Sea," and the duet " Love and War " will be included. Seats may be reserved at Tho Bristol for a small feo.
