BOYS' GORDON HALL.
ANNUAL REPORT. • Tbe general meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Boys' Gordon Hall Trust was held at the rooms, Y.M.C.A. building, on Wednesday afternoon. Mr W. Reece was elected chairman, and cthera present included the Revs J. Paterson and W. A. Sinclair, and Messrs A. W. Beaven, R. W. Hughes and W. F. Hilson (secretary). The bank credit totalled £426 133 &L The Rev J. Mackenzie having resigned his position as custodian, Mr Beaven •was elected in his stead. The balance-sheet of the Committee of Management for tho past year showed''the receipts to have been £lßl 6s 2d, with the expenditure £l9 3s 7d less.
Mr Hughes submitted the annual report, which stated that the membership fcad been well maintained and now stood at 215. The schools campaign, held in December, had enccftiraging results. The extension work in Wools ton end Sydenham was progressing, and next winter it was hoped to extend the ■work to other centres. The cricket and football teams, exposition and poultry show, lunch-hour and telegraph messengers' club were each satisfactorily reported on. Mr P. M. Yelvin, boys' work director, who had left for Egypt jn January with tho Y.M.C.A., was now in France. Many of the old boys h3d enlisted, and several had been V wounded .The report- was adopted.
