CONTROL OF BROTHELS. IMPORTANT DECISION. [Per Press Association*.] ' WELLINGTON, July 22. The Chief Justice to-day delivered judgment in a ease on appeal from tho decision, of the Magistrate regarding Emily Thomas, convicted aiid fined for keeping a house of ill-fame. The case turned on the point of the validity of the Wellington City by-law as to tho control of one-woman brothels. Sir Robert Stout held that the by-law was invalid and allowed the appeal.
