Stop-work meetings of minors in collieries throughout Australia passed a motion protesting against the failure of employers to grant an eight-hour day and tho payment of overtime. The miners at Maitland have resumed work, tho employers granting a conference. MELBOURNE, July 21. • The employees in the State Coal Mine have ceased work as the result of being refused increased wages.
