CANTERBURY ASSOCIATIONS Tbo executive of the Canterbury Hockey Association met last evening; present— Messrs W. Simpson (in the chair), N. Goldsbury, C. Bellamy, E. N. Smith, C. Jones, W. H. Down, T. Butterfield and P. Agar (secretary). A report was received in regard to tie faulty marking of grounds at Sydenham Park, and it was arranged to write to the Sj-denham Club on the matteT. • I 1! was decided to allow Iho withdrawal of the Sydenham Ihird grade team and that the fine should be remitted. The secretary was inftruc'ed to write letters of thanks to Mr G. "W. Ford for his services as supervisor at the combined five-a-side tournaments at Sydenham Park on June 3; and to the Canterbury Rugby Union, for the use of . its grounds at Sydenham Park on the same,date. After discussion it. was agreed to c!o=e the first grade competition at tie end of the second round, 'and the second, third and fourth grades at the ond of the first round, fresh competitions to bo opened in these prades. It was resolved that Cranford Second grade should be promo'ed to first, grade, Wcolston third pr?de to second Grade, and Oxford Terrace fourth grade to +hircT erado. It. was arranged that " Hockey Talks" rhould be held at the Y.M CA. Booms on wet placing Saturdays. when ouestions would be. invited and discussions taken on the different rules. LADIES' ASSOCIATION.
