IN DIVORCE. The Supremo Court sat this morning in divorce, his Honor Mr Justice Denniston presiding. PATERSON r. PATERSON. Alice Maudo Paterson (Mr Wright) petitioned for the annulment of her marriage with Alexander Paterson, on the grounds of misconduct. The case was not defended, but Mr Alpers appeared to watch the proceedings on behalf of respondent. Stanley Wynne Jamieson, an accountant, identified a photograph (produced') as that of respondent. Beatrice Ckrkson, formerly head housemaid at the United Service Hotel, Christ-church -stated that she was in service there during Augmt and September, 1913. She remembered Mary Yates, formerly barmaid at the Grand Hotel. Wellington, coming to. the hotel. She identified the photograph (produced) as Ihat of a man who used to visit Mi?s Yates frequently, Frederick Moves, porter and' liftman at the United Service Hotel, gave evidence that he remembered Miss Yates coming to the hotel dimng .August, 1913. and he also recqgnised the photograph (produced) as thflt of Dr Pa ter-se-ni wtio visited Miss Yates on several occasions. His Honor said that the information ho had before him would bo sufficient grounds for him to make a decree. The ovidenco of witnesses had' been for the purpose of establishing identity. Ho would grant a decree nisi, to U- made i absolute in three months, with costs.
