IMPROVEMENTS TO PROCEED. The Mayor referred in the City Conn cil last night to the report of th< engineers on the improvement of # thi Avon, and said' that all that remained to be done was for the council aai Drainage Board to carry out the in* provements. He moved that tho rft should be approved, ani the work carried out. Councillor H. J. Otley seconded ihi motion. I "Where do you intend to get thf money?" asked Councillor F. Bon goync. '' The money is all in hand," said tJ» Mayor. "It has been handed ovej by Mr 0. Louisson, ono of the FloTti Fete trustees." The motion was carried.
